Rain, rain, go away
After two nice days, we should have known it wouldn’t last.
We did still go on the Boston By Foot Bells, Bridges, and Locks tour, which was well worth it despite the weather. We then decided to take the T to the Copley/Pru Mall of Doom for a little while to get out of the rain, before heading to the Charlestown Navy Yard to see the visiting Irish naval ship LÉ Niamh.
On the way back over the locks to the Navy Yard, we got to watch the fireworks barge pass through the large lock up close & personal. That was a definite bit of serendipity.
We then arrived at the Niamh, which was unfortunately only open for public visits on Saturday and Sunday. Oh well.
